The following article is dedicated to Dr. David Pick, the Purdue Calumet Faculty Senate President. In my experience, Dr. Picks displays ignorance of American Supreme Court decisions on free speech and academic freedom as it applies to faculty. And he is president of the Senate, go figure.
The second "dedication" is to Dr. Colin Fewer, one of our College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences resident senators on the Faculty Senate at PUC who, in my experience, always opposes free speech and academic freedom. As he is originally from Canada, I think he applies a very European meaning to both concepts. Thus, he has shown on various occasions his complete lack of knowledge and awareness of American legal decisions about free speech and academic freedom.
