Higher Education is supposed to promote and enhance the lives of the citizens of a State. In Hoosier land, the opposite is true. Higher education is a drain on the resources of the State and only gives back what is claimed by the administrative leadership who are entrusted with the State's tax dollars and institutions of higher education. That is those who get and make the money get to report on how well they are doing for the money they receive. There is no independent audit or review. Since the State of Indiana and NWI in particular are sinking fast on every objective measure relative to the rest of the Nation, it would seem that there is a disconnect between what is being reported and what is happening. That is what the concern of this blog. This comical dance occurs between the leadership of institutions of higher education and the citizen taxpayers of the State.
