New Five Million Dollar E.C. Schools Sports Complex.
When you try to figure out why? You understand this is the superintendent's' and the Mayor's way of paying off the construction unions. It has nothing to do with education. These schools will still be graduating sub-educated humans. The moron superintendent states: "the E. C. kids deserve the same sports complex opportunity as Chesterton and Valparaiso. How about just half the opportunity for EDUCATION that normal kids get. When most of your graduates are illiterate in multiple languages, sports does not make any difference.
So when you ask yourself why? Just follow the money. It is a way to pay the usual line of NWI thieves: the Unions.
That is why I know you are lacking in normal skills of comprehension. This seems to be coming from the Baby thief of Hammond or one of his minions. But to be specific, I did reply. You need to get one of your flunkies who knows how to read to enlighten you.

To Social PhD....First I did not say ALL public projects. But, when you have schools whose 12 graders cannot read a sign-post in English, then spending $5million on a sports facility is paying off someone. It has nothing to do with improving the kids' future. The only exception to this would be if the money was given solely for the purpose of building the complex. Does the sports project preclude literacy: no. But there is no literacy in East Chicago. It is the most ignorant town in Indiana. Spend the $5million on competent English teachers, from New England, and you would get a lot more advantage and advancement for the students. But, no money for George's friends. That is the catch.

So public works projects in any community other than a thriving community/municipality is simply paying off "union thieves"?
Unfortunately as can be seen time and time again in collegiate sports and beyond (right or wrong, but is reality) is that literacy and athletic ability are not tied nor do they inhibit the other, and more importantly either does not preclude what a person’s possible financial success maybe even if one of those attributes are less then stellar.
The $5M should be spent how then? As several other ‘commenters’ have stated... offer something besides negative degrading critique.
