It is now election time and Baby Mac is making promises the City of Hammond cannot fulfill financially. The City is millions of dollars in debt and there is no explanation of where this money is coming from; never mind the source of the money to close the millions of dollars in debt. See Baby Mac's fake promises in the fluff piece in the Daddy Mac's The Times:
Hammond Adding New Police Officers.
The question is when did this so called need arise? If there is a real need, why did Baby Mac not do this two, four, or six years ago. Did Hammond all of a sudden have a windfall of money? (Baby Mac did. His gets more money per capita to his and his family's personal funds as Mayor than the Mayor of almost any American city. As can be seen by the source, all this money is strong-armed by his family from anyone who passes through Hammond.) Maybe that is what he needs the new police for?
Hammond has never ever been "short" of police "members." (It is like East Chicago, which has the highest police officers per capita. It also has the highest crime per capita.) Hammond's problem is that it does not deploy its police officers, except to help the Baby Mac and his family. If any of you doubt that, check the police deployment under Baby Mac, at night and on major "problem" holidays, and check the responses to 911 during the same time.
It is also true that Baby Mac is paid by the businesses and lawyers each year. They provide for Baby Mac's personal usage, enough money to hire these police officers. This money has gone into his own personal political fund.
This will be Baby Mac's attempt to be Mayor for a total of 12 years. Now no one is laughing. Only the people who are being paid off or have been forced to drink the Kool-Aid.
